She has purple and red extensions for added color and a little bit of length around the face.

This is one of my hair extensions clients before and after. As you can see her natural hair is very fine and fragile and has just enough of a curl to make it frizzy and unmanageable.

Good Hair Color vs. Bad Hair Color

Good Hair Color vs. Bad Hair Color

by: Genevieve Monsma

Even with world-class colorists at hand, Hollywood glamour girls still make wacky choices. Here, the fab, the drab, and the remedies.

5 Things I Know for Sure About Hair Color
by Rita Hazan, hair guru to Jessica Simpson & Biel

1. It's less damaging to go from light to dark than dark to light.
2. Women tend to go lighter
in the summer-and darker after a difficult breakup!
3. Blondes are sexy, brunettes are sophisticated, and redheads are born attention-getters.
4. If you get a major haircut, don't assume the old shade will work well with your new 'do.
5. Most of the time, hair color should be inversely proportional to length-i.e., short blonde hair can go lighter and brighter, while longer blondes look better warmer and deeper.

Great Lengths Before & After

Before & After

Tracks vs. Great Lengths

The first picture is of someone that has "Great Lengths" hair extensions in her hair. We have completed the bottom section of her head and on our way to the top. This method allows for the hair to look as natural as possible because the "keratin bonds" are cut to match the exact thickness of the clients natural hair. The bottom picture is of a client with "tracks" in her hair. She had come in for me to remove them and replace them with "Great Lengths" hair extensions. As you can see, this form of hair extension is bulky and has a tendency to get matted into your natural hair which can cause breakage.

Tracks vs. Great Lengths Hair Extensions

This is a photo of someone with "tracks" in her hair. She came in to have me remove them and add "Great Lengths" hair extensions to her hair. From my experience, this form of hair extension is less expensive and quicker, however, they have a tendency to tangle, break natural hair, get really matted, hair is dirty, quality of hair is compromised after a few weeks, after hair growth tracks are usually visible and need to be readjusted monthly.
